The annual festival has gained popularity year on year and is now widely recognised as the most fun filled festival on the South Coast, offering an unrivalled atmosphere for music lovers of all ages.

Featuring tribute acts by Tom Jones and Meat Loaf, this 9th annual party promises to be a fun-loving weekend extravaganza for everyone to join in and get in the celebration mood. Music is like second nature for humans; it is good for the mind, body and soul and to be together to make memories.

The reason behind Jack up Summer Party is to bring happiness and enjoyment into everyone’s lives; “your favourite artist appears on stage and the exhilarating roar of the crowd”. By starting this festival, it creates a reminder for older people of their youth and takes the younger generation back in time to what their parents or friends grew up around. Attendees dress up in their 80’s neon and embrace the spirit of the event which offers a judgment free zone!

The reason why it all started.

The co-creator of the Jack Up series of festivals on the island is Sarah Moss, an Isle of Wighter “born and bred”. Sarah has spoken and explained her love and passion for entertainment and hospitality, “has always been in my blood”. From growing up around her father being a General Manger for Warner Holidays going to manage the Puckpool/St Clare site near Ryde before moving To Norton Grange.

Sarah’s own journey started in 2005, being employed by the Isle of Wight Council managing their websites – engaging content that would attract both residents and visitors. Within this job Sarah got to attend, photograph and review the events that have all year round – Finding a love for practicing live music photography and meeting her business partner, book acts and programme stages for the likes of Butlins and the Bournemouth Air Festival before moving on to start her own events.

“The aim was then as it is now, to provide a family weekend of musical entertainment, food, attractions, and stalls whilst raising valuable funds and awareness for local good causes. Having started out as one-off event, the festival is now in its ninth year. In 2019 we changed the name to Jack Up Summer to allow for a richer mix of music, but still very much sticking with the retro theme.”  - Sarah
